I feel immensely honoured and highly privileged to have this great opportunity to express my views on this forum on behalf of Punjab Archery Association (PAA). My appreciation goes to all members of Punjab Archery Association who have contributed towards successful launching of this website and faced the challenge of Covid-19 pandemic with unparalleled perseverance.
As PAA President, my responsibility is to create a sustainable, competitive and congenial environment for the best and optimum growth of archery sport and improvement of our self-image and value to make the association popular and highly reliable through hard work, commitment, dedication, credibility, integrity, equity, and fairness. We are employing out of the box thinking to achieve our goals, our tools being stronger belief, pro-active thinking, practicality of ideas and undaunted resolve. We are deepening and fortifying our relationships with regional, national and overseas archery associations, federations and promoters. We aim at building everlasting strong ties with them to create fair opportunities for the sport of archery in the future.
As far as archery sport in Punjab is concerned, it is true that we mainly attract young people to the sport through the clubs and organizations that allow archers to thrive. The zeal and enthusiasm of professional and amateur archers in Punjab can be gauged from the competitive success of young archers who climbed the podium in recent years. But at the same time, the response from older people up to age 50 has also been excellent and it is an undeniable that archery is a sport for all, regardless of age, location or ability.
Every one of our General Council members, coaches, professional and amateur archers, who is working towards the promotion of any variant of archery, deserves my gratitude and appreciation. I thank you all for your commitment, passion, resoluteness, consistency and the time and effort you contribute towards making archery sport a great one.
My special gratitude and appreciations go to the President Punjab Archery Federation, Lieutenant General (R) Arif Hussain for his valuable and consistent guidance and support.
My message to my zealous archers is that we must put in all our efforts to stay ahead of the curve. We must continue to strive to produce results which will not disappoint the expectations of archery lovers. I look forward to working with you for the benefit of archery with the same rather synergized spirit.
